Delight Is …..
a messy studio full of fabric and paint and happy paint-dancing music!
This week white cotton fabric is getting the “FCF Treatment” as I transform it into vibrantly hued Yes and Yay Delight Flags.
Here’s a glimpse of what they look like with their coat of Presist, a fantastic water soluble, (and non-toxic) resist that creates batik-like results:
And here is a glimpse of the flags with their colorful paint applied:

Voila – here’s what they look like when they’re rinsed, pressed and jazzed up with optional beaded trim:
They’re pretty darn fun!
You can buy my Delight Flags in person at the PNA Winter Festival and Craft Show on December 1 and 2. (pssst…My Delight Detective Agency will be in the Blue Building, Room 1).
And they’ll also available on-line at my FCF Art Shop and Delight Detection Agency in early December.
What’s coloring your world today? What music is tickling your toes and inviting you to dance?
When I’m painting fabric, my color soaked brushes fly more joyfully when I’ve got the radio turned (way) up and good tunes blasting! Right now my favorite paint dancing station is Live Phish Radio.
Yes, that’s affirmative! This Delight Detective loves her rockin’ jam-bands!

Thank you for the colorful and joy-filled expression of springtime in the middle of autumn!
Glorious!!!
Hi Julie – you’re welcome my dear!
ANYTIME I can inject a bit more springtime color into our world I’m happy to do it! Welcome back from your big adventure…We shall await your delight-filled evidence!
Much love,
FcF
Wow, you’ve been busy! Your posts always put a smile on my face.
Thanks Linda – there’s nothing like a show deadline to kick up the motivation meter up a notch or three. I’ve been out of the loop for about a year, so I”m excited about jumping back into the fun. (Something you know all about with your international quilt shows!) Hugs from here, fcf
