Yesterday smiles reigned supreme among rays of sunshine and raindrops.
I spent a delight-filled hour hanging out near the Center of the Universe (Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood) with no other motive than to sprinkle delicious sparks of joy on surprised commuters.
Talk about a kick in the pants, the cat’s meow and wow!
Dressed in sunny yellow shirts, our merry crew danced and pranced around with signs bearing messages like,
Sure You Can!
Live Your Dream,
Be You; and (one of my personal favorites)
Yes and Yay.
To which we replied with another sign that read,
Why Not?
Friend and life coach, Laura Lavigne, organized the first Happiness Sprinkling event earlier this year in her hometown of Anacortes, WA. The experience created such a big-hearted stir, (for Sprinklers and Sprinkle-ees alike), that the idea has blossomed into The Happiness Sprinkling Project with events in Seattle and Washington, DC (this week) and Chicago (November 17).
Isn’t it remarkable that a yellow shirt, a simple sign and one hour can generate so many sparks of joy and goodwill? I say a hearty Yes and Yay to that!
You, Yes You! are invited to this party! Hop over to Happiness Sprinkling Project’s Facebook site to find the latest scoop on upcoming events. Do you want to host your own event? You can do that too.
Imagine connecting communities all around the globe with a friendly and expanding web of happy.
Yes Oh Yes!
Today, I’m sending a flower and big kiss to Laura and the Happiness Sprinklers for welcoming this Delight Detective to the party. Let’s do it again soon!
In love and gratitude,

How great for all of you to spend a morning making others smile and laugh, and for some question the purpose I suppose. It must have been very amazing for the recipients to, most likely, slowly realize that there was a wonderful gift for them, bathed in yellow, just waiting to be received. Great work to all you wonderful happiness creators.
Hi Darcy, perhaps next time you’ll join us! (This was my first time doing anything so public…and it was super bon bon fun!)
Hugs from here,
F
Thanks for the blog! Hopefully more and more people find out how fabulous this feels and jump on the sprinkling bandwagon. Next time we’ll hit the downtown area with sprinkles of happiness!
Hi Traci! I admit that I was a little nervous jumping out in public like this – but once I grabbed a sign and started to wave, the response was immediate and lovely and FUN. (I do love the fun factor!)
Plus I met more nice people, like you! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
